Brighton confirm injured pair set to miss out for long time
Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey has suffered another injury setback and will miss Saturday's clash with Aston Villa.
There is no indication of when Lamptey, 22, will return from a knee injury which forced him off 16 minutes into the Seagulls' 2-1 defeat at Fulham on Tuesday.
The right-back, who has been capped three times by England, has had a stop-start season due to injuries, making just six Premier League appearances so far.
Brighton also confirmed that midfielder Danny Welbeck will be out for several weeks with a hamstring injury. The 31-year-old limped off in the first half of the Fulham game and is not expected to return until after the international break.
The Seagulls, who are 10th in the Premier League table, host Aston Villa on Saturday.
